Pat Metheny is responsible for me being a jazz fan. My first memory is early 80s, 12 at that time, and I heard Are You Going With Me on a Jazz station my sister was playing in Detroit. The song captured me so much that I listened to that station as much as I could just to hear that song played again. Which lead to listening to A LOT of classic jazz. THIS live version of As It Is ....... probably my favorite PMG song ever. I wish this version was recorded on digital media with higher quality. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!!!

Love-LY, sir. Herbie has long been my favourite musicians, period, and almost right from the get-go he's attacking with his sly style. I can see that old-time sidekick Dave Holland is thoroughly enjoying himself, but who's the VERY exciting clarinettist/soprano saxophonist? The drummer's bloody tasty as well. Who's HE?
